In Sydney, Australia the cost of making an app ranges from circa $10k to $200k. This cost of application development will depend on a number of factors including the desired platform (mobile, web or hybrid), amount of features and complexity of said features. A PoC app or lean MVP will cost somewhere from $10k to $50k. A small to medium sized app will cost around $50k to $100k. Larger apps will cost $100k+.
The cost of designing an app will depend on the full range of service required. For example of proof of concept UI/UX design could cost $5,000 but if that needs to be made into a dynamic prototype or a full functioning app prototype, the cost will increase.
Creating a successful app can be one of the most challenging tasks, yet with proper preparedness and knowledge in building an app startup, you could become part of that select few who achieves success. If you are a non-tech founder with little to no app experience, it's highly recommended that you pick an app development partner that will cover off the technical side.
